CPG’s “BLUESKY Advanced Sustainable Packaging” has been leading the charge to meet the demands of the worlds flexible packaging commercial market place with the most advanced and current raw materials.

Our path to the future was cast over four years ago when our leadership had the vision to dedicate both the intellectual and equipment capital to develop the future array of commercial packaging materials.

That packaging array includes the following…

• Recyclable packaging materials that provide the same packaging appearance and operational efficiencies as traditional film structures.
• Packaging material reduction through the use of advanced recyclable chemistry and processes that allow for down gauging.
• Packaging materials that contain percentages of post- consumer recycled materials (PCR) that still meet all FDA requirements while fulfilling the requirements of a circular plastic economy.
• Bio based polymers materials that can replace some or all of the raw materials we utilize in the packaging we manufacture.
• Compostable packaging materials that are derived from a combination of organic and cellulose agricultural refuse.
  While providing the alike packaging appearance and operational performance efficiencies with a broader operating window than conventional materials.

We are committed to creating packaging that minimizes environmental impact, that is either recyclable or compostable where possible.
Our laminations have all been replaced with solvent free based adhesives that provide the lowest carbon foot print with zero emissions.

During the manufacturing of our products, we strive for maximum conservation of all raw materials and minimization of related waste, production processes, and energy consumption.

CPG resells or reprocesses a majority of the polyethylene trim materials which are a by-product of our manufacturing process. In addition, we have recycling programs in place for many commonly used materials, such as cores, pallets and scrap metal.

Energy Efficiency Goals

• Replaced the high intensity discharge lights with more efficient LED lighting
• Installed lighting controls to ensure that areas are only lit when they are occupied
• Adjusted the compressed air settings (in certain areas) to lower the consumption of electric-drive power
• Installed variable speed drives on oxidizers in our new Ridgefield Park, NJ facility to reduce the volume of natural gas required for incineration.
• Installed a recovery system to capture waste heat as a supplement to our natural gas usage.
